Young Years Prep is a licensed, Type "3" facility with a 2 Star Rating in Louisiana's Quality Start Rating System.

Hours of Operation:

7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday.

Young Years provides educational and childcare services for preschoolers, ages 30 months to 5 years, and school-aged children, ages 4 years through 12 years.

The Young Years facility consists of 3 Buildings:

• Main Building: preschool ages 5 years and younger and K4/K5 Kindergarten afterschool children
• School Age I Building: first and second grade afterschool children
• School Age II Building: third graders and older

We also have a large, grass-covered outdoor play area with play equipment for all ages and covered concrete areas that are equipped with play houses and picnic tables, etc.

For children attending fulltime, Young Years provides a nutritional morning snack, afternoon snack and hot lunch. For children in our afterschool program, an afternoon snack is provided.

The Environment

At Young Years, we strive to provide a clean, safe and educational environment for young children and their families. Within our care, children develop skills that promote physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth all while having fun! We believe in being supportive of our parents, and we welcome their positive involvement at Young Years at all times. We further believe that within our environment, children can thrive and have the opportunity to blossom into responsible and contributing members of our society.

Our Staff

We require on-going training for our staff through State classes, orientation, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR, while all Pre-K teachers and Management Staff retain their Child Development Associates Degree.

Young Years is dedicated and committed to our children by providing exceptional education and quality childcare. It is our philosophy to focus on the needs of the individual child by providing a stimulating atmosphere for learning along with a secure loving environment. It is our belief that a childcare facility should be an extension of each child's family. Young Years teachers and parents are encouraged to work together to provide the love and support needed as your child reaches developmental milestones and his/her own personal achievements! We are passionate about education and providing our children with the tools to be successful in life.
